A decidedly cool, snowy start to 2010 seems to have slowed everything down, including updating the site. So, better late than never.

Easter is nearly upon us and, after good Christmas exhibitions, we have just finished all the deliveries to start the Easter Shows. Dates for these can be found in the calendar below.
Bookings for accomodation from Easter onwards make it look like a busy year in the studio.Hopefully we will still get time to get out and draw.

For those living or holidaying in the North East of Scotland,we are now showing work at the new "Airt Gallery", near Kintore, Aberdeenshire, owned and run by Jeannie Robinson, a lovely gallery space.Jeannie's web address is on our links page.

We are currently planning some new cards, prints and calendars in conjunction with "Doricmor
Prints"Edinburgh to extend our range. Some of these should be available in the studio by Easter.

Two publications to look out for are the "Skye and Lochalsh Arts and Crafts Association" booklet and the "Highlands Open Studios"guide, which give the visitor an endless choice and variety of places to visit. These are available at any of the tourist offices and most members studios.

Last year in the garden we had a go at growing some vegetables in a small prepared plot up the back of the studio. Results were mixed, tatties, beetroot, carrots and sugar snap peas good, while garlic, runner beans and parsnips were a disaster. This year we put in the garlic in winter and so far it's doing fine, regardless of the cold weather.
The siskins have returned in good numbers and we have up to six goldfinches visiting the nut socks daily.Unfortunately our coal tits seem to have disappeared. There are also two male reed buntings and one female currently visiting the bird table.
The spring bulbs are finally starting to flower and hopefully the cold weather will not have done too much damage to the perennials. As always Annie's tubs and troughs will be making a fine show arround the studio.
